The smallest community college in the North Carolina College system, Pamlico Community College (PCC) is building fast. Its mission is "to provide accessible and affordable quality education, workforce training, and lifelong learning opportunities" for the local community. PCC plays an important role in the lives of young people starting their careers, those changing careers, individuals committed to life-long learning, and even those dreamers who want to build their own boat...and sail in it. The curriculum and faculty are as diverse as the community, serving residents at many levels from offering GED training to Associate Degrees to EMS certifications.
The Small Business Center at Pamlico Community College supports the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses. PCC/SBC provides free, confidential counseling services for new and existing businesses on an as-needed basis. The center consults on ideas and concerns aspiring entrepreneurs may have about their business ideas.
